This logo is found on some of the newer
"beat your ticket for a fee" websites.
If you see this logo on a website, click on

This page is by highwayrobbery.net, provider of
good - free! - info about California red light
camera tickets & photo enforcement.
If you haven't already done so, please read
highwayrobbery.net's Home
page.
Listed here are red light camera/photo radar
websites not discussed on the Links/Ref/FAQ
page. If you have comments or corrections about
one of these sites, please send them.
The "Defense ratings" shown reflect how much help
the info on the site will be with your effort to
defend your red light camera ticket.
If you want to do some further checking, do a Google
on their name, or go to consumer protection sites like
RipoffReport.com and search on their complete name -
including the .com at the end.
It is a serious ethics violation for a lawyer to
guarantee you that he will win your case, so if a
particular website or service guarantees a win, that
is good sign that there is no lawyer behind them.
For additional info about lawyers, you can look them
up at the bar association site http://members.calbar.ca.gov/search/member.aspx
Danger Signs
If you have told the service (a website, a company,
or a lawyer) that your ticket is from California, they
should quickly instruct you to check to see if it is a
fake ticket (Snitch
Ticket), or not.
And, if your ticket is from a city in LA County, or
from the LA County sheriff, or from the LA County MTA,
the service should tell you that there is the option
to ignore it.
If they do not tell you these things, they don't have
your best interests at heart and you should look for a
different service to help you.

Defense rating: Often a waste of time. Can
be rough and tumble, rude. Many of the "experts"
are cops with a thinly disguised pro-camera attitude
and a lot of spare time - they will swamp you
with extraordinarily long answers. Unless you
are very good at digging out the truth from a pack of

different website to look for legal advice.

"Comment: Before you rely on a database of 6,000
locations you might want to ask where the vendor
licensed the database from. There are lots of database
thieves who have built derivative databases off
photoenforced.com (an open database) without permission.
If this source was cut off from them you would be in big
trouble getting updates. There are false locations in
the [photoenforced] database purposely to catch crooks."

II. Pay Sites
In my experience, the worst "fly by night" companies
are those located in un-incorporated areas (areas
without the controls provided by a local city
government). To check to see if the company is
located in a city, do a Google on the "city" portion
of the company's physical address: "City of
___________ ." If the Google search does not
come up with an official site for a city of the same
name, it is very likely that the company is located in
un-incorporated area. If the company is located in an
incorporated city, call city hall and find out if the
company has a business license - and for how long.
Many for-profit sites sell radar/GPS systems - with
the ticket-fighting advice provided to bring traffic
to the site - but I have not rated them for their
expertise with those electronic systems, or for the
quality of the systems they carry.
For-profit sites - and lawyers - are not likely to
tell you that your LA County red light camera ticket
can be ignored.
