City of Hawthorne Documents, Set # 4

Some of Hawthorne's tickets can be ignored.  If your "ticket" does not have the Superior Court's name and address on it, it is what I call a "Snitch Ticket."  For more details, see the Snitch Ticket section on the Your Ticket page.

  Fake / SnitchTicket, a.k.a. "Nomination"

(If you haven't already done so, please read the Snitch Ticket section on the Your Ticket page.)

Here is the front and back of the clever Snitch Ticket Hawthorne has RedFlex send out to some motorists.

For a similar Notice (from another RedFlex town) but with stronger wording, see the
Vista Documents page.

To see a fake ticket from a town whose cameras come from ATS, see the South San Francisco Documents page.

In the red light camera Industry, these notices are called "nominations."

Here is a web page where one city actually acknowledges that they use nominations (although they don't say what for).

To read what the DMV says about these notices, see the Snitch Ticket section on the Your Ticket page.

Please note that while the Snitch Ticket below calls itself a "Notice to Appear" (look in the fine print of the so-called "Certificate of Mailing" at the bottom of the front page), the use of the title Notice to Appear does not convert it into a real ticket.  A real ticket must contain a Notice to Appear section, printed in the official format.
