City of Hawthorne Documents, Set # 4
Some of Hawthorne's tickets can be ignored.
If your "ticket" does not have the Superior Court's name and
address on it, it is what I call a "Snitch Ticket." For more
details, see the Snitch Ticket section on the Your Ticket page.
SnitchTicket, a.k.a. "Nomination"
(If you haven't already done so, please read the Snitch Ticket section on
the Your Ticket page.)
Here is the front and back of the clever Snitch Ticket Hawthorne
sends out to some motorists.
Note that while the English wording calls the incident a
"violation," the Spanish wording uses "infracción" rather than
"violación."
For a similar Notice, but with stronger English wording, see the
Vista Documents page.
For a similar notice, but with
color pictures, see
full color notice.
In the law enforcement business, these notices are called a "nomination." I call them a Snitch Ticket.
(You can ignore a Snitch Ticket.)
To read what the DMV says about
these notices, see the Snitch Ticket section on the Your Ticket page.
